Health Insurance

Hello, I am looking for a family health insurance plan. I live in Florida if that matters. My spouse has carried a plan in the past through their place of employment. A national group policy available for appraisers would be great. Does anyone have any suggestions or referrals for insurance companies? Thank you!

Not really. Since insurance tends to be regulated by state, you need to look "in house" and the NAR and others have had plans. If over 55, check AARP, etc. Perhaps one reform we can get in is to allow insurance to be sold over the state line. The problem, of course, is cost and it is too high at the hospital and the doctor so it is too high for insurance. You might also consider one of those Christian groups that offer a sort of internal quasi-legal insurance or mutual aid society to members.

Sorry I don't have any suggestions, but isn't it a little late to be looking for health insurance since most open enrollments are closed now? Some will offer a "special" enrollment which is totally useless so be careful and read between the lines before enrolling.

Check with your state to see if you qualify for assistance with medical insurance which is year round.
