Hey folks, wanted to pop in and say hello! I am new to these boards. I have a some interest in the field of appraising and stumbled on this awesome community. It is all fairly new to me. I hope I can learn a little and maybe see if this is a field I want to delve into deeper. I have been around the block a bit and been in the building industry for the past 20 years in some form or another. :icon_mrgreen:

Hello,

Welcome to the forum.

Good luck, but, maybe sales would be a better route.

.

Oh I am in sales and I do very well. But sometimes it is not all about the almighty dollar. I am looking for something that is detail oriented, less hours than 70+ per week with a little more flexibility and pays less in the short term but better in the long term or very long term.

Heck even if this is not a career path for me, I find it interesting and I like to always be learning. <grin>

Best of luck!

The rules/regs have definitely changed in the last few years. If appraising is really something you want to get into, then plan on a minimum of 2+ yrs and minimum pay. If that's really something you can/want to do, then maybe this is something for you! Oh, yea, and the education part.

Again, best of luck!
