Interesting - I just sent a copy to the state assistant AG. Maybe it'll help him wake up even more.
 
And he’s with Countrywide Financial Corp? How interesting. The same ones who told me last year that if I kept mentioning deferred maintenance on those older houses they would stop sending me work. I love it when they climb on their holier than thou soap boxes like politicians. :)
 
Yeah:

The speaker represents the company which fullly owned AMC (Appraisal Management Company) called a little bit ago and refused to understand why I could not and would not provide them with a form 442 on a property which neither I nor anyone in my office had previously appraised... because the form 442 indicates that I or someone in my office had previously appraised the property!

What they want is an independant verification that the property has no damages after a section of the county was declared a disaster area...

I offered a narrative statement of what I saw/didn't see (with appropriate disclaimers) no dice. I offered a 2070, NO dice.

" WE NEED A 442 ".

But that would be misleading, says I... :blink: no can do!

Perhaps Stein should start cleaning house at HOME. Since he is reportedly the EVP and director of fraud prevention and investigation at Countrywide Financial Corp.

Interesting article and well worth reading.

Does this group do any of the following:

a) run their appraisals through an AMC,
B) require you sign a very extensive vendor agreement,
c) ask appraisers for fast turn around times,
d) reduced fees for volume,
e) read some of the posts above for other items

What does anyone expect when production may call the shots?

As someone previously posted: Fast, Cheap, Quailty
You only get two of the three and quality is not one of them!

How many other lender owned AMC's are out there waiting
to do the same thing. Blame the appraiser for their lack of
quality control. Do they keep appraising and underwriting
from reporting to production? Sure!!!

Hope he reads my faxes About time we start sending him the Request from MB's that sell the loan to CountryWide. [B]Anyone else[/B] drop him a line about agreeing with hiom about fraud & how some of HIS companies &/or subcontractors are the biggest perpertrators.
 
There is a E-Mail Address & phone # for Samantha I'd expect that she'd have a minimum of 1,000 E-Mails & 500 phone messages when she comes to work tommorrow.

sent her a nice email. Before I read that the rest of you were. Ask her to kick some butt and take names in the process. Ask her to come read a bit at this forum.

Think it will work. I really doubt it. But you never know how much kicking you can do before the bear will wake up.
