Research by the Federal Reserve found that the median retirement account balance in the U.S. – looking only at those who actually have retirement accounts – was just $60,000 in 2016 (the most recent survey available).

I know one guy that is past 70 and still works in a retail store.
I don't wanna be that guy. :cautious:

OTOH, I don't wanna work no mo.

For my first wife (a lying cheating mortgage broker--I know redundant statement) the 50-30-20 rule meant 50% at the mall, 30% at the hair and nail salon and 20% to her boyfriends. The appraiser (me) had to fund the the (w)hole operation. Did I mention she is an ex-wife? :rof: :drinking:

After the flogging by the market...my IRA may be "average"...a separate oil account though (luckily only 10% of my retirement money) has lost money for 4 years.
