I had the worst experience with Hyperform just a year ago. The program is terrible, and that little clock that comes on all the time! ARGHHH!
I am very experienced with computers, DOS, 16 bit/32 bit, and many appraisal software packages. Trust me when I say Terrell is right on the button with HyperForm users, LOL!
Hyper maps are not fax friendly, takes 15 minutes to relocate the address arrows if they are wrong which is usually the case. If you do a complicated sketch in Apex it will import over the borders. (works OK as long as your not sketching a 3,000 sq ft house) I use the Sony camera and selecting the A drive is like pulling teeth. (a tweak in the program that they still have not fixed) The program does not work from the CD without a "patch" you have to get via Email and they don't bother to tell you ahead of time, you find out after hours of help menus and trial and error! You need to set up a "signature disk/file" from tech support before you can use the software with digital signatures, (which is a must) I could go on and on! (I will say that the tech support people are very good and professional)
I wonder if there is such a thing as the appraisal olympics? If there was an appraisal completion event Brandon would be out on the track with the Wintotal users while the Toolbox user's are in the clubhouse drinking and preparing for the next round of golf!
The little wizards that pop up and time clocks you always see while the program is hogging all your computer resources is amuzing to me. With Toolbox there is no waiting! (with the exception of reading off the a drive for pictures) Even if you have an old pentium II 133 Mgz with 32 MB of ram, the program still screams because it is simple and windows based!
I can not speak too highly of HyperForm because the way they treated my Brother and myself. The sales people are fast talking and the upper management sucks! They are on my hit list and do not know what customer support is. I can complete a report in 1/3 of the time it takes with HyperForm or Wintotal. They are both huge resource hogging programs with there own standards. Toolbox relates to the "windows" standards which means they are compatible with most other software and is manipulative!
