Hollywood Bath

Apparently Fannie Mae does not have a definition of a Hollywood bath, or a Jack/Jill bath. Subject has 1 bath that is connected to both the master bedroom and the hallway across from 2 more bedrooms.
Each end has a sink and commode, with a shower/tub in between the two "half bath" areas. There are 2 doors that can be closed and locked for privacy from either end.
Would you call this a 'Bath & a Half'??

Most Architects in the old days in California called them one full bathroom.

And make comments on bathroom situation.

P.S. Don't call it a Hollywood or Jack and Jill they may flag it. We just label them as dual entry bathroom. Google it and sometimes there are some good alternative names.

I forgot. Did the Brady Bunch home have a Jack&Jill Bathroom?

If you close the 2 middle doors, you have 2 half baths separated by a shower/tub room. I will probably call it a bath and a half, and expound on it in my comments.
If you close and lock one door, the master bedroom could have a full bath, and the hallway would have a half bath.
Kinda gripes me there is no definition, when there is one for a room with a commode and nothing else.......that is not counted as a bath room at all. Dumb. Oh well, rant over. ;)

Jack and Jill is an RE term that is a bit dated, but they still use it - yet I have never used that term. I report the number of bedrooms and baths. Why do you have to comment on it if two bedrooms share a bathroom?

Some are 1.5 bath.

It is hard to picture it, I personally would call it one large bath with a divider for privacy. A master bedroom without its own private bath and having to share with other bedrooms is a functional obsenese but it is what it is

A jack and jill bath typically refers to one bathroom that is shared access to two bedrooms , usually not a master bedroom.
