How about reducing red tape?

Our idiots are having the same discussions. In the late 1990s, someone conducted a study regarding site costs compared to another community 140 miles away, where prices for similar sites were more than half again more than ours. The conclusion, refuted by no one, was significantly greater regulation there. So we got to work and caught up. Now, sites here are so overpriced they are almost never offered on the open market, instead only available with a completed home.

Government and insiders can't high-grade in an open market. Now they have another opportunity to serve (themselves) through all the affordable and workforce housing initiatives. I expect those will create further, future opportunities.

Oregonians are getting exactly what they voted for. Same for the Kalifornicators.
