Hello all you Hawaii Appraisers,

Or should I say How's it? I am interested to hear how HVCC has affected your business there. I can't imagine that too many AMC's understand appraising in the Islands.

My husband was born and raised on Oahu, and we have friends in real estate there. What kind of AMC issues do you have with appraisals in the Aloha state?

Sorry, I couldn't resist! I don't work for them because they won't pay what I charge. Not too many people anywhere understand island appraisal. My workload has gone up a bit, and has stabilized substantially since the inception of the HVCC. Bank LOs that wouldn't use me before (because I didn't "play ball"), have no choice now, so I'm getting more bank business, which seems to more than make up for the drop in mortgage company business.
