I am reaching out because it's been 11 years since I've done a pre-foreclosure. The client Reverse Mortgage Servicing ordered an interior inspection of the property although I don't know if I will gain access. The property has not sold in the MLS or transferred since 1976; the only photos available are posted in Zillow, although I don't know when or by whom. If this ends up being an exterior inspection I was hoping for some input. I am aware that it can't be "as is" any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why can't it be "as is"?

Unless you can come up with a verified way to support an opinion of quality and condition for the interior, I am of the belief you can't do the appraisal for a regulated lender.

I have to confirm MPRs, so if an exterior I wouldn’t be able to verify. I’ve seen appraisers say they won’t appraise “as is” some say other. Just wanted to see how my peers would handle. Hoping I can get into the property, will make it easier.

I was granted access, so I am happy about that! Thanks for responding.
