Is the company TENA? They are ok. You don't even have to pay postage to send it back. And it only asks 2 questions.
I don't understand the resistance. Especially if it is a good client.

I used to get a letter asking if I appraised the property and arrived at the value of x. I would respond that I did appraise the property but could not comment on the value per USPAP. Recent letters just ask if I appraised property x and if I was improperly influenced. I respond to both questions. As long as there's no USPAP violation (e.g., non-disclosure of assignment by the client), I have no problem doing this if it helps maintain our profession's image of honesty and reliability.

These are required audits and they ought to have the client notify us but technically I would not respond if I did not know them or they were properly identifying themselves. BTW how many of you respond to reviewers without actually knowing they are real reviewers..?

Pile a bunch of your junk mail in an envelope and send it back postage required.
paste it to a concrete block if you want to get their attention :)

I have received them too for a good client of mine. I asked the client about it and they said yes they are ok to respond to.

How about sharing the company name? Thanks.
