Cell phone with camera broke. Replaced it with new Android about five days ago. Been confused with the GPS until I realized today that it was in Bicyle Mode. And all of the nine comp photos in/near Inglewood are of my face rather than the comps. I can't bear to make the 4-hour round-trip from Riverside for new FHA comp photos and will gladlly Zelle a peer who lives/works in the area of W 78th Street, LA, to take 9 comps photes. Holler back if you're interested. I'm thinking $100 is reasonable for about 1-hour work. But that's negotiable. GM

Why are you driving 4 hours to do an appraisal?

Real camera is a good idea. I use my phone camera as the backup.

That's awful....
I bet folks will be double checking their photos before leaving the subject property AND comps....

I took comp pix 30 miles away. Camera one had a dead battery. Camera 2 had a dead battery but a spare in the case, so I used it. But I still had a GoPro 10 behind the seat ready to use and I had the charging cord, which I could have charged it in the car since it has USB ports. Only if all 3 failed would I resort to the phone.

So it only shows your face and not your face and the comp? Didn't you look at the picture when you took it? So cal lenders are not paying any extra for drive time let alone four hour round trip.

I never ever work more than 20 miles from home although these were two well-paying assignments in urban LA--40 or 50 miles one-way, REQUIRING A 4-HOUR RT DRIVE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE TRAFFIC.

Did you find someone to shoot the pic or did you have to do it?

Apparently, never ever isn't nearly as long as it used to be!
