Insurance Policy So Bad in Oregon Insurers Are Leaving

Welcome to Oregon? Its a totally Blue State. Last week I went to a presentation by the State Forestry Dept that basically said, 'fire fighters will only fight a fire that isn't higher than 8' (try to think of the last wildfire you saw on TV). so we have to clear our lots of anything less than 6" diameter. Fine to keep the big trees and hope the fire moves in the tops. Hopefully they can stop the fire until it gets to Forest Service timber and of course, FS land is exempt from clearing. And the state doesn't even have the money to do the survey to find FS boundaries lines.

I broke a finger coming down the ice fields of Mt. Hood Meadows about 15-years ago. Skis don't do ice very well. : )

Doesn't TRUMP....
Want folks to rake the forest grounds....

Communist Mainland China has been taking over Oregon. They are really behind the scenes in most things that have to do with control and politics.

Well, I can't go into it in much detail for certain reasons. But between the potheads, methheads, opioid addicts, Chinese, Democrats, LGBTQ+, historical socialists, and liberal Scandinavian descendants, the State of Oregon has been a mess since forever. The current citizens west of the Cascades are mostly brain-dead from too many years of getting high off drugs. It could be that the Willamette Valley's high pollution levels never helped things much.

Last time I was in Eastern Oregon, that seemed OK. But, Bend is now becoming more liberal.

The good old days.

And, it is such a pretty state, so immensely green, - at least where there haven't been any forest fires, where they are not currently burning fields, where there are not homeless and they have gotten around to cleaning up the homeless trash - and where, otherwise, there aren't any people.

I've been to a lot of ski resorts all over the country. IIRC, every one has a sign that says 'ski at your own risk, this is a dangerous activity and can result in serious injury or death, etc.". Quite a few states have it codified that ski resorts are not liable for your injury.

Ice is part of the equation when skiing. If you can't handle ice you should stay on the bunny hills.

Past years, I had problems with my commercial property insurance being not renew.
Never had I experienced these insurance companies asking more questions and inspections on my properties.
Worse they would increase over 15%. I accepted residential property insurance increasing at least 10% a year.
Coming Fall, I already have this one insurance not renewing and I have to find another company.
Problem not just in Oregon. This has been happening here in past 5 years.
