This is a old fraud ring that USPAP-Compliant and myself did some work on back in 2002.

• R. Michael Gee, Mooresville real estate appraiser. Accused of participating in house-flipping scheme. Surrendered his license in 2005 during an investigation by the N.C. Appraisal Board. Could not be reached.

------------------------------------

They finally indicted the appraiser. Whooooo Raaaaa... The crook voluntarily surrendered his license while under investigation by the NCAB. Frankly I dont know what took them so long. I could have put together the total investigation in about three days and had the crook revoked at the first board meeting.

Whoooo Raaaaa

Good for you guys.

I understand the frustration in how long it takes for these things to get done as well (I think most states are the same). At least in the end, it got done.

Perhaps its good that some take revoking ones license serious enough to take the time to do it .. rather than immediately act. Sometimes it seems to take too long ... but I think a thorough job is more important that being fast ... and maybe wrong.

Its kind of like doing an appraisal ... ive not seen many prepared fast that were much good.

Think of those new EappraiseIT fees: $175 for a 1004. Say it's 10 hours work (I'm often spending 12-15 on the assignments I get these days). $17.50/hour???

I think I'll go work for Brownie Septic. At least I'll get benefits and have no liability. And I'll be used to the sh***y conditions!
