LA City Rent Control: Sun Valley

I've asked this question before on the Forum.

I'm familiar with the LA City "Ordinance" and the website; however, I can't find a link on that page to the specific parcel.

Is this information available on-line?

I do have the hot line phone number.

The subject is a non-conforming duplex in Sun Valley, LA City.

p.s. Does rent control pertain only to legal improvements?

To the best of my knowledge, rent control applies to any residential property other than a single family or individual condo. I think the only subject specific data available on line would be permit info. What you need to do is check the zoning map, get the code and check the Muncipal Code for applications. There is also a separate section for the rent control ordinance which has its own link.

Try this number 213-473-3231. Its the main number for the city and you can access rent control board from their if you don't have a seizure when you have to listen to Mayor's voice.

As I understand "The Systematic Code Enforcement Program (SCEP) is designed to routinely inspect all residential rental properties with two or more housing units on a four-year cycle and to respond to reports of property violations. Inspections are conducted to ensure the safety and habitability of all occupied rental dwelling units."

I would be careful with reporting a violation. Its that USPAP thing?
