The deadline has been extended until August 16th. Your participation is important. The Louisiana Board is trying very hard to help residential appraisers, this survey is what helps the board determine if AMCs are compliant with C&R.

Dear Louisiana Residential Appraiser:

The 2014 Louisiana Appraisal Fee Survey commissioned by the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisal Board is *NOW OPEN. * Although the survey is occurring later in the year than previous surveys, please note that*the data being collected is for calendar year 2014.

The survey's purpose is to collect data on "customary and reasonable" appraisal feespaid to Louisiana-licensed real estate appraisers in 2014 as outlined in federal regulations. The survey has been designed to meet the requirements of the "Alternative presumption of compliance" for customary and reasonable compensation described in the federal regulations.

An electronic version of the final report will be made available to all appraisers who complete the survey.* The final question on the survey allows you to enter the e-mail address where you would like to receive a copy of the report.

To complete the survey, please click on or go to:

Edit: I deleted the link and password so only LA appraisers can respond CHECK YOUR STATE ISSUED EMAIL address for the link and password or email Mr. Holloway at brc@southeasternPERIODedu.
(PERIOD=.)

If you need to exit the survey and finish completing it at a later time, there is a "Save Page and Continue Later" button at the bottom of every page. Complete the page you are on, click this button, and a pop-up will ask for your email address (and confirmation). Enter and confirm your email address and QuestionPro will send you a link to use to re-access the survey where you left off.

Please note that, due to the branching logic involved in portions of the survey, you cannot go back to a previous page to change your responses.

If you need to change an earlier response, please exit the survey and return to the site to begin a new survey. If you have to do this, please also send a brief email to me at the address below with the date and time you completed the survey so I can delete the incomplete survey from the data.

Also note that the survey site now imposes a 45-minute time limit to complete thesurvey, so please gather the relevant information before beginning the survey.

We sincerely request your participation in this important project.

Should you have any questions or need additional information about the appraisalfee survey project, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or at the address or telephone number below.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,

Herb Holloway

I like it. Encourage your compadres to consider everything from A to Z in their survey. It will only help the public (LA citizens) by allowing more professionals more time in the valuation process, which is really good for the profession. It will help attract some more skilled and professional appraisers who have just said no for a long time.
