Just bought an old laptop that I intend to
use to access MLS system on the road
...at nearest McDonalds or Starbucks.

Since my GPS is beginning to get flakey,
thinking of buying GPS receiver & GPS software
to run on this laptop.

Anyone care to recommend brands?
So far, I can see three competitors:
Delorme, Streets & Trips and Garmin.
Also came across GPS software for truckers,
which I understand is especially good at setting up
a logical quickest route delivery (or comp photo) route.

Opinions &/or Experiences ??

.

I've used Delorme for years. Plot the route in the office, and get on down the road. On a laptop, stops can easily be anticipated. It works for me very well.

I have Delorme that I use as a backup for the GPS. It works well but be prepared to spend a few hours learning the software.

For a long time I used a laptop with a Garmin receiver and software. It was great and I highly recommend it. Very cheap, too.
