Doug Lebda, the founder and CEO of Lending Tree, dies in horrific ATV accident at family farm. The 55-year-old was the founder and chief executive of the online lending marketplace headquartered in Charlotte. The father-of-three had an estimated net worth of $305 million, according to Benzinga. His wife, Megan Lebda, 37, announced the loss of her husband in a statement.

Sad for his family.

As the owner of two ATVs my guess is that his accident involved either a fence or tree. Several deaths in this area over the past 10 years or so involving an ATV and trees/fences.

Me and the squeeze went on the ATV adventure on Lanai thinking it would be a Disney ride, no it was intended to scare the crap out of you. Ended up hitting one of the local deer that was using the trail.

Think I'm the only one that putts around like an old man on my ATV. It's always got some kind of gear/dogs on it and firewood trailer attached so I rarely go very fast around the property.

A friend's child died on an ATV, and he was jumping a pond bank after being told to slow down and not jump anything, and he crashed and overturned. Just a kid testing his own skill. Not a happy outcome.
