My mentor gave me a pamplet from 2003 about Lincoln Graduate Center. Looking on their website, Lincoln, they offer ALL the classes I need AND ONLY 30 minutes away in State College!!!
All I'm looking for is some positive feedback on the classes. Looks like they offer classes all over the country.

What say you?

Thanks,
Shane

Good Morning Shane,

The Lincoln classes were great for getting my CE hours in, although I did not find the material or instructors very challenging (read: boring). It's been a long time since I have taken one of their classes (the last one was their Principles of Appraisal Review class in 1996), so maybe things have changed. Be sure to check with your state for acceptance of the particular courses you wish to take.

AI classes IMNSHO have always been top notch and worthy of the time spent. (Disclosure: I am not a member).

I've taken several Lincoln courses included the NADA course and they were good. The instructor told to many war stories about himself, but we got through it somehow. I'd recommend them.

Thanks for the replies!

Good news...the school is a-ok with the state. Bad news...they need 8 ppl for the class and are at 3 now, 4 including me. :( I will make some calls to local appraiser hoping they have assistants who need classes. If the biz continues the way its been going and these classes pan out, I could take my certified test in September. THAT is what I want for Christmas '06

Thanks again!
Shane

B) I taught several courses for them in the early 1990's. Of course my classes were never boring  Their founder, Dr. Marvin Deane was an attorney, and a great man. He passed away several years ago. I also knew Dr. Gary Deane. He too was a fine person, I have sadly neen told he too has passed on. Deborah Deane is now the CEO and she is a fine lady and struggling to keep the Lincoln Graduate Center and The National Association of Master Appraisers(NAMA), of which Lincoln is an affiliate organization, struggling to keep both as viable organizations. I wish her all the best. I would recommend their courses.

Lincoln Graduate Center (Texas) is great for Pre-Licensing & Pre-Certification.
I haven't seen them offer anything new as far as Continuing Education though. I've almost taken all their courses and probably need to go elsewhere to get my CE.
