I spent 3 hours scrubbing my vehicle today in the hope we here in Central Fl are done at least until spring!!! I’ve driven too many miles this past month . ( We won’t discuss compensation because I am after all a trainee.) Washing off the bugs every trip but…OMG this is a real nuisance. If or better yet when I get certified I’m wondering how the established certified appraisers deal with this additional cost of time???

By charging fees that are high enough to cover such costs.

I agree, it's all in a days work if done properly. I've read that since we were so dry this summer we will have less of a problem in the spring.

Lynn, where in Central Florida are you? I live in Winter Park and have stayed mostly around here and Orlando the past couple months and haven't had a love bug on my windshield yet.

I ignore 'em.

I've been in Oviedo for about 10 years now & love it. I ran into most going to Osceola and going over Lake Jessup on the 417. Maybe they figure since we can afford tolls we can afford car washing too LOL. Not me, just have to scrub it myself. I wish I could ignore them but I've seen paint removed by leaving them on so I wash, wash wash. :fiddle:

I guess 95 mph's not fast enough??? LOL Look out her I come. (Not really my DL says I'm a safe driver) That's my story & I'm sticking to it.

417 over Lake Jessup have swarms of insects ALL the time...it looks a bit like smoke until you hit them...then SPLAT! Windshield wipers have a hard time with that much bug goo! Oviedo car wash here I come!

Love bug tip: when you get home...try to rinse your car with water, then go back out about 1/2 hour later and scrub them off. I was tipped by the owner of a car wash and it seems to work better than trying to scrub them all off as soon as I got back?

:Eyecrazy:

417 over Lake Jessup? Are you sure they weren't flying baby alligators??? :rof: :rof: :rof:
