LSI is currently hiring staff appraisers throughout the United States. We have openings in most metropolitan areas, including the Chicago area, Houston, Los Angeles, San Diego, Philadelphia, New York, etc.
LSI staff appraisers are fulltime employees (with benefits) who work remotely, completing appraisal assignments in their local market. Compensation is based on a combination of base salary plus performance pay.
We are seeking certified appraisers who have at least five years of experience and are on the FHA roster.

Certified Real Estate Appraiser

LSI, a division of Lender Processing Services (NYSE:LPS), is the nation’s leading provider of integrated data, servicing and technology solutions to mortgage lenders. LSI is the largest centralized provider of appraisal, title and closing services to first mortgage and home equity lenders as well as to mortgage servicers and investors. LSI performs property valuations and settlement services in all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia.

We are currently seeking experienced, qualified appraisers to serve on our staff and perform single family residential appraisals. In this role, you will be a full time W-2 employee of LSI. You will work remotely, performing appraisals in your local market area.

Note: This is a fulltime position, and outside appraisal work for other clients is not allowed during employment.


Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all appraisals are performed in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, USPAP, the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act (FIRREA), GSE requirements, Appraisal Independence Requirements, and both LSI and lender/client requirements
• Maintain a state certification in good standing in order to perform the duties of an appraiser

Requirements:

• Must be a current state certified appraiser
• Retain current state certified appraiser status at all times
• Prove proficient in various residential appraisal types - LSI offers single-family, condominium, multi-family, FHA, rural housing and REO appraisals
• Demonstrate solid analytical skills in order to review data, draw sound conclusions, and summarize results in a clear and coherent manner
• Have access to the relevant databases to properly prepare an appraisal
• Have access to desktop software that facilitates the creation of an appraisal report
• Have a computer, printer, Internet access, email, and cell phone
• Possess good verbal and written techniques
• Maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record at all times
• Retain transportation - with LSI defined insurance requirements
• Have no driving restrictions
• Pass a criminal background and motor vehicle record check
