We lost two used car dealerships in the last year, one small local dealer got bought by a megastore and one of the local big three dealers shut down.

Ski resort for super rich files for bankruptcy

Tue Nov 11, 2008 2:21pm ES

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Exclusive ski and golf community Yellowstone Club, in Montana, has filed for bankruptcy protection, a sign that the financial crisis roiling the real estate and leisure industries is not limited to the low end of the market.
The club, in the pristine mountain area around Big Sky, Montana, not far from Yellowstone National Park, is part resort and part residential community for the super-rich.

maybe this crisis will be good for the environment...if they can just turn the clock back on Telluride. i remember in the 1960's when it was a peaceful little ranchers town, where the dirt road streets held old International 4WD PU's and Dodge PUs (about the only two brands that were 4WD then) with sheep dogs in back and a horse in a small trailer or in the back with stock racks. You could walk into a store and find bartenders with pin stripe shirts, vests, and arm garters that were not California refugees and a house in town cost $2000. I wish it were that way again. Let the glitz stay in Jackson Hole and Aspen. Give us back those old mountain towns.

Those last few posts do scare me.

If the rich get a cold, the middle class has pneumonia, and the poor get the plague...

I don't want pneumonia.

Get well soon, rich people.:flowers:
