I noticed one of the articles dealt with Realtors wanting to get the banks out of the real estate business. What is good for the goose is good for the gander as my granny used to say.

C21, etc. needs to get out of the lending business as well. Did they think the banks would not fight back? After some local lenders started recommending in-house lenders and out of town mortgage companies, one of our big banks stopped letting local Realtors list repossessed property. One bank is letting a Realtor from 3 towns away handle all their repos, primarily because they operate a paint and fix it business out of the office. The Realtor will fix simple damaged improvements, keep the lawn mowed, etc. while attempting to sell the repos.

Some of the local Realtors are now foaming at the mouth over the arrangement. Serves them right.
