National appraisal board

There is no way a central board could handle investigation and disciplinary issues. I don't need someone from Washington reviewing and investigating my appraisal. No competency....geographical or otherwise. State boards will have to stay.

That is what you want, and what makes sense.

But the question was do you see it on the horizon.

Answer--yes. The Fed govt continues its cancerous growth and control. If Dems retain both houses in 2 weeks, I predict the beginnings of a national board by end of 2023.

Everything else in mortgage lending is federal, why not appraisal oversight? Will make it much easier to control the narrative.

Anything is possible.

That would cut both ways. A PITA but also a guarantee of keeping people appraising so as not to eliminate a federal program.

Of course the currency will collapse between now and then so….
