I recently had a question about what are natural environmental elements that can negatively effect a property..piece of land.
I was torn between these 2 answers
Would anyone know if one is more correct than than the other.

Land contiminated by lead
Air pollution caused by radon gas

Natural environmental elements?

Radon would be natural.

Lead contamination is most likely caused by human actions, i.e., not natural. However, lead contamination would have adverse effect on land value.

OTOH, radon, although natural, would probably not affect land. "Air pollution" caused by radon is an issue inside dwellings, not land.

(Grammarily) Affect vs. effect

Affect is usually used as a verb meaning “to influence or produce a change in something.” Effect is generally used as a noun, and refers to the result of a change, but it’s sometimes used as a verb meaning “to bring about a specific change.”

Rain affects plants. The most powerful effect of rain is that plants grow faster.

In the majority of cases, you’ll encounter the verb affect and the noun effect in closely related scenarios having to do with actions and their consequences: If A affects B, B experiences the effect of A’s action.

In other words, imagine Ruby (A) pushes Raphael (B) into a pond. Ruby affects where Raphael is standing. Raphael getting wet is the effect of Ruby’s act."

In other words, "Hunter Biden uses drugs and women as a way to affect his mood. Foreign money delivered through shell companies to the Biden family effects US's domestic and foreign policy." : )

LEAD IS THE ANSWER - Radon is natural and comes from the soil .
