Thought I should introduce myself. I have another post in the introduction section, but some of you may not have read it.

New to this forum (just discovered it), but not new to appraisal. For background on me, you could take a look at my website.....I took the first Cert. Gen. test they offered, way back when.

I do get around. Have worked over most of the state, except for the bootheel.

I frequent a few other personal interest forums, but I don't post much, so don't expect much. I tend to be more of a lurker.

I don't know how many folks in the state are registered on here, but this has the potential to be a valuable tool for us to communicate with.

Welcome Howard!

Thanks for joining us, we look forward to your input.

Hello Howard

Haven't talked with you since you put the Sales Comparison class on for our lenders ... class was in Jonesboro at the Farm Credit association over there. Been three or four years ago ... don't remember for sure, time get on by. We split the deal with Northeast Arkansas.

I lurk around here from time to time, but don't post much.

If you get down in the Bootheel give me a holler. I'm still with Farm Credit. Work out of the Sikeston office.

Best Regards !

DJ

Don:

Good to hear from you. Passed through Sikeston about a month ago on the way to New Orleans, but we didn't cut the "light speed engines" until we hit West Memphis.

Had a chance to come down last summer, as NRCS asked for bids on some large wetlands projects down there. I didn't bid on them as I was worried about finding comps and they had a short fuse (for me, 30 days on 8,000 plus acre projects with no comps is a short fuse)....especially when you are 3 to 4 weeks behind to begin with. I think they went to Mr. Bollinger.

Anyway, maybe next summer? Hope all is well down that way.

Howard,

All is well here. Land values have gone crazy. A recent auction sale of good row-crop farmland brought $4,750 per acre.

If you get another job for conservation easements down this way let me know. I've got some sales. Also have some sales up in mid-state. Matter of fact I'll go ahead and send you what I have in case you should need them.

Welcome, Howard,

I'm glad you decided to post. I'm hoping we'll get a lot of Missouri appraisers here. I think it would be a great place to raise awareness of Missouri issues. Don't forget us.:flowers:

Don,

It's nice to see you posting, too. I see youve been a registered lurker since the beginning.
