I need help locating information on a newly constructed home in Ohio and I cannot find any information through the court records or MLS. I will inspect the house by this afternoon and usually get comparables before I leave the house, check the neighborhood's boundaries, and such. I cannot get any information. Where do I look? Help! It's so bad Mapquest doesn't even locate the address.

Call the owner?

Sometimes you have to visit the property before you know what you are getting into. Sometimes, even with good records, the property isn't as advertised. Second trips are part of the job.

I don't know what you've quoted for a "turn time", maybe you will need to call the Client and inform them that this is going to take longer than expected due to the difficulty in obtaining information.

Get a property card for the vacant land and look it up on the plat/tax map for its location.

Not to be fresh - That's Appraising!
They can't all be cookie cutters. Use only what you can verify and explain, explain, explain.

Thanks for the input. After reviewing the subject property, I now know what direction to take with it. THe builder on hand had a "recommended" realtor that use that I'm sure can provide me with addtional information. Thanks to those administering advice and those with "witty" things to say... "not to be fresh" (smile) Thanks
