New Required Course: Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Law and Regulations Course

Got an email from Calypso continuing education.

1) New 7 hour required course "Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations Course, with 1 hour exam starting January 1, 2026.
2) After that every 2 years must take 4 hour course on the same subject.

Anyone else gotten the notice?

I wonder if this will count toward our 28 hours or if it is on top of the 28 hours such that we now need 32 hours of continuing education.

Sounds like a bunch of DEI woke nonsense.

I recently took the USPAP update class and 6 of the 7 hours were on that very topic. Now, they want us to take another class on top of that? NUTS!

I suspect that it's a state requirement. We haven't had that here but, NY added a similar required course 2-3 years ago.

Very little about appraisal or real estate brokerage. I’m not woke yet, but I’m wide awake now and can see big brother looking over my shoulder constantly. They should at least call these courses what they are, indoctrination with veiled threats.

Some of yous don't need anymore appraisal education because you've done the same courses 10 times over.
But, just like our criminal nature is held back by redundant USPAP reinforcement. We now will have hate has no appraisal here, with continuing woke reinforcement into our easily controlled minds.
