I’ll freely admit I haven’t dug into the 3.6 roll out as I’m too busy with work and family (I have two young kids) to waste time on something that hasn’t arrived yet . I do try and pick up details on forums , blogs and podcasts .

That said what are the main differences as far as on site data collection that has folks up in arms ? Read something about “window surface”. WTF does that actually mean? Glass ? Length ? Seems ridiculous.

We have a lot of issues in our profession and I try to look at the bright side so maybe I’ve ignored this up coming issue on purpose . I think AMC’s are a 10 x bigger issue to most of us personally than transitioning to a new form . So what are the biggest hurdles we will face with this thing from those that have knowledge on the form itself ? What will we now be doing on site during the actual inspections that will be quote “new”? Is each assignment essentially becoming an FHA report ?

Awfully frightening that our industry is so fragmented that large numbers of practioners are unaware of the formal roll-out, as well as the absence of a single-source of information, although it seems logical to follow the FNMAE announcements, as well as piecemeal info provided by the primary sofware vendors. That having been said, "somewhere" earlier today I saw an industry report that described estimated full implementation circa November of 2026--i.e., wayyyyyy to early to worry oneself, especially as we're surrounded by Barbarians at various gates. Scholarly organizational theory poses the potential for significant improvements to follow in response to daunting challenges....but is it possible that the appraisal industry will fail, especially with consideration for sooooo many frigging genius intellects just on this website, possibly all working independently throughout their entire careers to the extent that a collective effort isn't possible?

Gotta be an up n coming legislator with a formal appraisal background to coalesce a nationalwide, grassoots movement in support of the independent appraisal practitioner, perhaps coming appraisers with other beleagured, downtrodden industries?????

Maybe I'm enamed of too many Ayn Rand scenarios, but a champion MUST emerge, right ????????
