I would appreciate feedback (good or bad) from people who have had experiences with Nova Day one. Thanks

Just received it yesterday. I have used Day One since 1987 and have most of the quirks figured out in the 16 bit program--I can make it work. Now I face the learning curve of new software. Cleaning up my computer, taking it to a shop for a checkup, having them install all the RAM they can and then installation of Nova, Apex 32 bit and Adobe Writer 5 will start. Included in my package is upgraded technical support and a class June 26 in Phoenix. So any other suggestions to make the learning curve smoother? What quirks and problems have you found?

I installed Day One on my computer about 3 years ago in order to do work for Landsafe Appraisals (Countrywide). The Day One software corrupted my appraisal software (SFREP) big time. It was a major problem that cost me big bucks to get it corrected-which included uninstalling Day One and reinstalling my regular software.

I never did use Day One and other than that experience, I don't know anything about it and don't want to.

I do not have the software. I am just checking out the market to try and determine the best software to use. I like appraisers toolbox, but I like the fact that in Nova day one you can do the appraisers on a palm pilot and it syncs the info to the form.

HighPerForm HighPerForm HighPerForm!

Crazy people!

I had the worst experience with HyperForm just a few months ago! Terrible slow software with many querks. Toolbox is the only way to go! Very simple, very fast! No learning curve because it is so simple and windows based!

OMG- I didn't bother with the upgrade on NOVA- I have had so many problems with it switching my photos on my comps and here lately when I PDF an appraisal TWO appraisals are mixed into the file and they go together!!!

I switched to the "cadillac"- alamode and so far am VERY happy- am now using apex instead of winsketch which is a learning curve for me, but I could convert all my old NOVA apps to Alamode and that's what sold me (besides all my mtg companies being familiar with alamode and NO ONE even knew anyone but ME using NOVA)
