Hello all,

I am an appraisal trainee in the state of GA and have a curiosity question regarding obtaining public sketches of a property….

I primarily use qpublic and compflow for obtaining sketches of properties, but am curious to know if there are additional resources out there where I might be able to obtain sketches?

Curious...why?

Most county gis systems in my market has a sketch.

My MLS has a attachment section and 80% of the time they sketch is attached.

I work in 8 counties. All of them have sketches online through either their GIS or the auditors site

Like I said. I’m a trainee. Just crowdsourcing my available options.
Okay...

Perea grad? Is your mentor nearby to help?

Are you having a hard time measuring properties and need help? If that is the case, I would use cubi casa to help out. Cubicasa is more accurate than the tax records and they do not round to the nearest foot (my county). You can compare your sketch to theirs.

We have some appraisers in my market that just copies the tax sketch...which is not acceptable. They don't use ansi...trying to keep you out of trouble or from bad habits

Or

Maybe I'm missing something or maybe I can learn something new. Not trying to be a...

I'm a Masshole....
Others are just plain old A-holes.... :)

You are reading too much into this. This is just a curiosity question.

All I want to know is where are sketches available to obtain outside of what I already know. Yes, my super is nearby lol….thats how I know about qpublic and compflow.

I know about ANSI. I use existing public sketches as a comparison to the ones I create during inspections. And yes, that means that I do my own measurements.

I like to keep my bag of tricks full.

I find most counties I deal with have accurate sketches. I always check a few measurements to make sure.

I foresee one day Fannie will require appraisers to measure using Cubicasa. Fannie wants consistency for their AI algorithms instead of appraiser's less than accurate measurements.
