How’s everyone’s volume been the last couple weeks? It was raging in September but pretty quiet in October so far in SoCal.

Was away all September on vacation, but the last two weeks down here in SoTX have been very slow - five 1004s and four 2055s. That's it. And the quotes have also been few (quotes mostly for out-of-area/Manufactured/Multi-Family stuff we don't do).

So - yeah - even down here, where we've been busier than in many parts of the country the past few years, it has definitely slowed down a lot. Its the high interest rates, combined with the the waiver/Hybrid BS - though how much that is having an impact is an unknown. Probably quite a bit.

Pretty much what I have done most of the year. Monday- “Crap! I have squat!” Friday- “Well, was a pretty good week!”. The good part? I can get done typing reports of appraisals I did yesterday, or even today, then go on Appraiser’s Forum.

Very Bad. I actually got an order assigned at C&R fee, but then the buyers decided to go with an Appraisal Waiver.

Same as usual. pretty busy month then a slow month or 2 then a busy month.

been that way since rates went up after the china virus.

Playing catch up after a week in the tropics the last week of September for an overdue vacation. Had a busy first week in October, then a slow week. With a lone wolf shop the math/market is always confusing.... too busy one week, not busy enough the next. I think tariffs give people a reason to delay refis due to typical human uncertainty. When it slows down I come in here and search for USPAP infractions in posts. I've found 5 this week, 1 in this thread. I've tried to warn you boys that the USPAP police are always watching and taking names. I take that part of my business very seriously although it's only a sideline. Next week my focus will be on Dallas/Fort Worth members.

Mortgage apps were up the first part of Oct, and rates continue to fall, but I agree - it 'feels' slow RN.

Its been enough volume for me. Also getting more of the lowlifes reaching out wanting next day turnaround 24 hours for $300, which is a good thing, since their usual crop of appraisers probably aren't doing them, or all of them.

slow
The orders are mostly complex or oddball, though a few regular ones trickle in.
