Just wondering what the deal is to reinstate your license if you failed to renew? Mine expired

I also remember some time ago hearing that as of 2010 the AL license level will be extinct. Is this true as well?

Thanks,
Jason

I think you have at least one year after your license expires to renew, with a late fee, and all CE hours will need to be made current.

and yes the regular residential license is extinct if you plan on doing any FHA work as they only accept certified now. Some of the AMC's accept licensed appraisers but the pot is very thin.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it. That was what I was looking for.

I was just thinking of keeping my license for the heck of it, but if the AL is pretty much worthless I don't see the point. I don't have enough complex appraisals to do the upgrade.

What do you consider to be complex? Anything can be complex and right now, the market is complex. I would think that completing a 1004MC is an exercize so complex that even the most basic tract house would qualify.
