Looking for a basic P&S. Wide angle, good battery life, good flash and durable...that's all I need. Anybody still using one have any suggestions?

Sony Cyber shot. Haven't tried the new ones with bluetooth connection.

I use an old Kodak, now, after about 15 years, on my 3rd (used) example of very same camera.
(They don't make 'em anymore.)

My criteria when I looked for a camera were:

a. Rechargeable (& Long Battery life), and,
if I managed to go out w/o charging the battery,
or it failed, the ability to go to local drugstore
and buy some AA alkaline batteries good for a few dozen photos

b. Point & Shoot simplicity - but also the ability to Zoom
-- NOT digital zoom, Optical Zoom lens.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with my panasonic. It's over 10 years old, still on the same battery and can get thru a few days inspections before needed to recharge. Optical zoom is starting to fail and the display is corrupted. Can find it refurbished, but for more $$$ than I initially paid for it. Was hoping for a similar replacement, but not seeing much out there. Don't need 4k video, social media apps or any of the other bells and whistles that come with them nowadays. Bluetooth would be nice, but the main features for appraising are good flash and battery life.

Still looking without much luck. Everything is either more than I want to pay (for useless features) or has bad reviews on the features I do want. Been taking the wifes D5600 with me as a backup and of course have my phone, but would really like to find something soon.

I'm using a Kodak z812, the earlier z712 is good too.
Here's on on eBay link
Batteries and chargers for the lithium battery both inexpensive, but can also use AAs
Uses an SD memory card, get a Class 10 or better card, and it writes fairly fast. 12x zoom

Ended up with a Fuji xp130 for $89 at costco. Been using it about 2 months and no real complaints. Flash can be flaky sometimes (doesn't always sync with the shutter), no optical zoom, but takes fairly decent pics and is advertised as waterproof....which got tested the other day when I dropped it in a puddle. Won't bluetooth to my linux PC, but not a deal breaker.

I have the Fuji XP some number for a few years now. Only this week did I search out the manual because the flash is intermittently out of sync, particularly when I need a fill flash (bright light coming in the window opposite). I think a setting must have gotten changed, based on the large number of them (that I neglected to bother with ever).

Easy to use, waterproof for clutzes and rainy days. I have really liked it. Did have to get an extra battery.

Mine's blue. :giggle:

I have had great success with Canon Power Shot. My original still works, fits in pocket, quick to charge, holds a charge, easy downloads, zooms enough, micros with great focus, flash is perfect. Simple & observes better than my own eyes.
I also have a fantastic NiKon Coolpix waterproof used for weather daze & vaca' diving!

Amazon. $150...a large bundle.
