For some reason Adobe has stopped printing all the pages of my 2055's. It will print the first page and then two blank pages. On the second blank page my signature will appear where it should be but balance of the page is blank. All of the other pages in the report convert and print fine. If I print the report to my laser every thing is fine. I sent the file to Landsafe as a zoo / ACI file and they indicated that pages 2 and 3 of the 2055 are blank except for the signature. I've tried converting the report to a different 2055 pak and I'm having the same problem. It's been working fine for years and only developed this problem over the last couple of weeks. I'm using Adobe version 4 and haven't made any changes to it but I have updated my ACI to service pack 809. I also dropped the resolution in Adobe from 600 dpi to 300 dpi thinking it might be a memory problem but it didn't help.

I really wish ACI would develop a FAQ or knowledge base we could access.

I sent an email to ACI tech support but haven't heard back yet.

Any ideas?

I got permission to use the old 1004 and imported MOST of the data.

ACI must have the worst BETA SYSTEM--not testers.

Ted:

For the time being, have ypu tried ACI PDF generator. Its a temporary fix till tehy return your call.

Access it through Options/Environment/Printing.

You probably already have this handled, but maybe it will help someone else later on...

Just guessing here-was your pdf writer printer set to letter or legal size? If it is set to letter (depending on your ACI settings), you will get blank docs at the bottom of the page.

Also, if you recently added one of their service packs (like for the new forms, maybe) it is possible that you need to re-choose acrobat (if you are using acrobat)-sometimes the install sets the pdf device to their own.

Under options, evironment-printing, adobe pdf, try the following:

Check the "Request file path option..."

Create PDFs using:

Change back to Acrobat PDF Writer, if that is what you use.

Under the printing main tab, make sure you have it set to "Use Form's Paper Size"

Seperately, go into your printers folder (printers and faxes in xp) and right click on pdf writer, and make sure the default paper size is set to legal. Shouldn't matter with the setting in ACI, but why take a chance.

I'm with you on the beta stuff-for roughly 6 years, we were one of the shops that did beta testing for them. It was great, and we even got to give feedback/input! We got fixes faster, and they had access to a shop that could break virtually anything they produced!!! Well, we tried anyway. Once, when they were getting ready to make the jump from 16-bit to 32 bit, and they were ready to send out the first beta, they sent me a copy of the very first disk-not anyone else, just me!!! Yep-23 issues in just the first 15 minutes!!!...they were just getting notified of the delivery when I called with my list!

Sigh, I miss those days sometimes, but with the current pace of work (researching all of those or B&P images for all the prior sales, calling all the past owners of the real estate, along with the past mortgage holders, the neighbors to make sure there aren't any infringing uses....(just kidiing!!!...well, kind of!)), who has the time anymore anyway?
