Anyone having issues getting plat maps from RPR? It looks like the main source was taken down a few days ago and now they upload some old un-readable plat map. Is there another good source to get clear plat maps?

That's for Broward. Need Palm Beach County

I am not aware of any source just for plat maps online for PBC, however the PAPA website ( Palm Beach Property Appraiser) website has online overhead maps that show the plat - but good luck printing it out or saving it in a useful manner to the report - it is possible but very awkward.

My software has an import program for it that solves the print/save problem.

Yea I know, I have been using the PAPA map, kinda sucks. I don't know why the MLS changed so many things. They made things harder for us. I have another site I use, but it is for the unincorporated areas of PBC

I doubt the source is the problem. I'm confident that the maps are recorded in the county registry. The problem seems to be one of accessing those maps without getting out of your chair. In most places, those are public record. Get up, get in your car, go to the county offices (usually the deeds office) and get the information you want. Alternatively, call the county and ask if there is a way to access them online. Or... of course... you can just do without.

You don't understand. The maps are there, same place they have always been on the MLS. problem is that our MLS went thru some sort of update on the back end and messed up all the plat maps. They are visible but so blurry and no readable. They use to be readable, but now they are not. This is the main issue. I have other sources, but was asking if someone knew of another source that I did not know.

Broward County has a very good GIS site

Sounds like a 3rd party vendor working with your MLS (paying for the service to provide on the MLS) is having the issue.

Counties sell the data feeds/overlays to providers that sell it to MLS to provide to the members. We pay $3.50 a month (buried in the monthly MLS access fee) per member for that data stream, and some other data like mortgages, etc.

I long ago stopped depending upon the MLS for data outside the listing. I find the GIS, assessors office, and clerks records far more up to date and accurate.
