As an Appraiser in VA I am incensed at Coester's suit against the Virginia Appraisal Board. I am curious to know if anyone at VCAP, or anyone in general is drafting a letter to AG Marc Herring? Here is a company that has basically admitted to paying less than customary and reasonable fees, yet has the audacity to file a ridiculous law suit. I think we as Appraisers need to stand behind our Board. I hope Mr. Herring sees this lawsuit for what it is and fights it with everything he's got. I am drafting a letter of my own, but was curious if anyone else is.

I appreciate you. He will lose if he don't chicken out. The law is pretty clear. Antitrust law is pretty clear too and with due diligence through investigation of HUD-1"s and his personal business records, the defendant would have enough to do major damage to the system, which would benefit the public.

Because it's an open case,

No one involved in the case should comment about it.

Okay, that's what I suspected. What about those of us not involved?

Agreed.

:D

While not named, we're all involved.

Read through the JT opening an AMC Advocacy thread.

Not sad at all.

There was a thread a couple of days ago when the news broke.

There was also a podcast at the voice of appraisal.

link is in the thread started by Mich CG

Yes, I thought Phil Crawford summed it up nicely.

Thanks! I'll check out the other thread. I just thought VA Appraisers would be particularly interested.

It will be fun to see how other AMCs react to the Coedashian's latest escapade, it appears they made the classic blunder of screaming in the forest....I think they're going to be alone.
