I went shopping yesterday and the 'retail price for a dozen eggs was $3.99, but with my Safeway card, they'd only charge me 99 cents. I played little league with a kid whose father raised chickens. One day there was a thunderstorm and Billy said to me, "Guess I'll be eating a lot of chicken sandwiches for lunch for the next month."

This post qualifies as one of the all-time greats in terms of seemingly unrelated points. Who knew that eggs are what shopping, Safeway, and thunderstorms all have in common (in no particular order). The posts in this joint are beginning to resemble the conversations during afternoons in the nursing home.

My daughter told me to watch "The Madison" because Montana is so beautiful. I thought Kurt made a good point about men having to have a purpose after retirement, but trying to outrun a storm in a single engine Cessna was just stupid (getting back to thunderstorms). Also the cabins seemed too close to the river/flood plane.

I have heard about it, but haven't seen any of it. If it is like Yellowstone, just a few scenes are filmed here. They should ban all of those shows and destroy all copies. The riff raff are here in force seeking the fantasies.
