To the gentle appraiser who is accepting the REO on 5 acres with a 3000improvement with no comparables sales....best of luck A Hole. Thanks for driving all of us down. You do realize that you are getting less than half the fee. Have Fun

Are you sure that appraiser is getting the low fee? Could it be that the coordinator didn't just give up and that appraiser was the last on the call list?

Can,

I really don't know what the final fee paid was. The order came to me, via email, at $245, I requested an increase and within five minutes the order was cancelled.

It is possible that someone came in lower than me and higher than the $245, but given the speed in which it happened...who knows. The coordinator might have been bidding it. Usually it is not a bidding situation when the e-mail order comes to me specifically.

When I was posting I was a bit irritated with the insulting fee, with my self for not taking the lower fee and having an extra $245 in my pocket in a week and the other appraisers who are accepting fees this low and lower.

I totally agree with you. Same problem here. It's very irritating that Rels gives me work but it's always the hairballs. OTOH ... I just scooped a $400 check out of my PO Box an hour ago for a job I was posting about on the forum not even a week ago. $100 in the bank and 15 $20 bills in my wallet right now.

Of course if they appraised it last week for a different client, that could be the gravy on the biscuit that was needed to put a nice end to the month.

Don't worry about RELS as they are trying to hire all "staff appraisers as employees with benefits and will not have to deal with us any more. Found a job site with RELS postings for every state-including Washington with postings in the last 20 days from RELS/Corelogic, looking for full time, employee, staff appraisers. How can RELS be an AMC and a fee shop. If they are a fee shop then how can they take orders directly from the production arm of Wells Fargo?

Pass this on to your legislative bodies. TSI/LSI and Clear Capital are also seeking "staff appraisers".

This staff appraiser crap was what gave us HVCC to begin with.
