My buddy renewed his contract this morning. No apology from ACI was given for the week long outage and lack of communication; they acted as if it never happened(never even mentioned it).
They also offered no discount. It was only after my friend complained that they gave him a whopping $25.00 off. Unreal. They had a chance to redeem themselves and they blew it.

Oh well, that's modern corporate thinking. Imagine how sucky it is working for them.

Why would anyone stay with them if many AMCs do not want their software? I switched software at least 4 times. It's not rocket surgery to learn a new program. Plus i created my own templates for narratives.

I'm staying with them at the minimum price for about a year til my comps database goes completely "stale" ... then turning off the lights ... in the meantime I'll use their sketcher to generate sketches for import into my new, improved and customer service/helpline AWESOME software.

Why apologize it was First Americans Title whose computers were hacked. ACI was not at fault and many on here said they should join together and sue ACI . So to apologize would just be admitting they were at fault and frankly what people want is a big discount on renewals.

My guess is they will be closing down in a few months anyways and selling to one of the other two companies and they may be hoping people don't renew. If I did not like them I would have switched software providers now rather than getting a dear john letter later just telling you they sold to Alamode or Bradford. :) LOL

ACI doesn't encrypt their comp databases (unlike their .ACI or .zoo files) so most other software companies can import or convert your ACI comp database (.dbase 7 database) . Wintotal does a decent job. I'm done with ACI. Looking at WinTotal and SFREP. I'm leaning towards SFREP because they have an API and their user interface seems much "cleaner" and simpler. I find WinTotal kind of bloated and over complicated....but then again, i've been using ACI since the early 90's.
