I was recently asked to include an FHA 92051 with the 442 on a new construction appraisal. I have never been asked to complete a 92051. It asks for information relating to insurance and so forth that as the appraiser I am not privy to. Anyone have experience with this form??

Thanks!

How can an FHA appraiser have no knowledge or experience with the CIR?

I simply have never been asked to include this form. I guess I should have known better than to ask a question. I have found that in this forum, asking questions exposes you to more criticism than help.

It's the Compliance Inspection Report. You're supposed to use this form instead of the 1004D/442 when signing off on conditions.

I wasn't putting you down specifically. But how long have you been doing FHA completion inspections and issuing the fannie/freddie certification instead of the FHA certification?

I have been doing FHA work for only a year. I live in rural Idaho. We had only seven building permits taken out in our entire county in all of 2009. This is the first new construction / FHA appraisal I have ever done.

If everything is as it should be, check the #14 checkbox, type the number 14 in the comment area and make a brief statement. Include some photos if you like. Bill them $100 - $200.

Thank you. Now that makes sense.

I went three years before ever filling out a CIR. Back in the day the FHA lender I worked for sent out another inspector for VC issues.

As of January 1 the FHA will take the 1004D but it is NOT required until February 15. Had a lender ask for both. Can't blame them. Poor souls are lost in the woods with all these new finance regulations, and are scared to death about compliance. :fiddle:
