Rural house has 50+ snakes in boxes, hundreds of mice and rats in cages, 5+ dogs in cages too, looks like an unlicensed animal business

I just did an inspection and the house was filled with boxes and boxes of snakes in the bedrooms, cages, boxes and drawers of mice, multiple dogs in cages and crates. There was also a large storage room built behind the house that’s used as storage and that was filled with more snakes and mice in boxes and drawers.

Would you complete the appraisal or just tell the lender to charge a trip fee and ask to have it reassigned?

That place looks like a nightmare for animals, like an animal hoarder. Please report it to animal control ( can make the complaint anonymously or ask someone to do it for you.) That is cruel confinement and animals kept in those conditions are often sick and never see a vet.

I would charge a trip fee and have it reassigned, and report it to the proper authorities myself, but I never would have set foot in a house with that many snakes. Disgusting, and poor dogs.
