A Missouri woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to defraud Elvis Presley’s family out of millions of dollars after she attempted to auction off his Graceland property despite not having any claim to the famous estate, the US Justice Department announced Friday.
Lisa Findley, 53, of Kimberling City, is accused of falsely claiming that Presley’s late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, had pledged Graceland to her as collateral for a $3.8 million loan she hadn’t repaid prior to her death in January 2023, prosecutors said.

I think the family has had enough problems. Elvis and Lisa both died young. Lisa's son committed suicide. Riley Keough is sole trustee of the estate but had to battle Prescilla and the guardian of two half siblings to be declared sole trustee of the estate. What a mess.

I had an assignment in that area this week. Graceland was packed with people from all over the world. It was Elvis week. That lady is getting moved from Missouri to Court in Memphis. I don't know if is Federal court or local court.

That was not the only job she had done.

She is looking at 2-20 years in prison. Don't quote me on that. That was on local news this morning. She had a company set up where she made up fake documents in many different areas on real property. She is probably not only scammer that will face prison time.

I still don't know what court she will face. She will be lucky if it is Federal. Memphis will put the maximum on her if it goes to local court on Graceland.

She has mail fraud in there too. That is Federal.

She may have to face local court and Federal court trial while in jail.

Memphis holds Federal Court also. I know that because I got subpoenaed as a juror and thankfully didn't have to serve. I need to work.

In Tennessee, if you are a full time employee, your employer has to pay you normal wages if you have to serve jury duty.

I don't fit that category as full time employee where I would receive normal wages.

Identity theft and mail fraud are the charges on the lady.

She is probably looking at 20 years in prison.

Elvis was probably last place in the world she wanted to try and pull a scam on.

I think I heard this scam person asked for public defender

I would wager a penny that woman is going to prison for a long time.

I don’t know what other verdict the court may put on her or her fake company. I don’t know if she has any money or assets.

Stories like that leave me All Shook Up, but then again I have a Suspicious Mind. If I can Dream of a suitable punishment for that woman it would be in jail busting up Jailhouse Rocks.

Makes me think of the TV show Tokyo Swindlers on Netflix scamming people into buying properties they don't own.

She is going to Federal court today in Memphis. Facing 20 years in prison. I was thinking local or State court.

No, it is federal court.

I don't know if it is jury or not. Facing Jury in Memphis would not be a good place to face the jury.

I wonder if Elvis's wife will be there.

The judge will probably be rough on her.

She may get 20 years in prison.
