Kinkos wants $20 to scan over-sized documents to 36" x 72"...anyone know of a way to do this? I can get plans copied at letter scale but the copy is not legible scanned or not. I can reduced the size, say to ledger size 11x17, but i still cannot scan it with my scanner without going into multiple scans of pieces then "stitching" the document together. very time consuming.

I tried taking pix, but it is near impossible to avoid all glares and get a neat job.

If you want it nice and neat, pay the money at Kinkos.

Personally I just do pictures in sunlight at 5MP. They may not be beautiful, but are functional.

We have a blueprint company and a copy machine retailer, both of which will make blueprint size copies or reduce them for about $1.50 to $2.00 per page. The copy machine retailer will scan them to a CD for about the same price.

My cousin owns a blueprint company about 5 miles from my office. They do large format scanning, as do most blueprint companies. I get a discount but bill it to my clients if they don't provide me with my own copy of prints and I have to do it myself. Of course, the have to pay for me to drive there also.
