New to this software but not coding. Does anyone have any useful scripts or good advice on what may need to be scripted?

I know it uses the LUA language for embedded scripting and that LUA can be manipulated in very powerful ways. But wondering what others have tried that may actually be useful. Thanks!

Creating a note to self here and inviting anyone else with similar interest to join in the brainstorming process.

I have to learn which objects in the software can be manipulated with scripts. I already see that dialog boxes would be useful for building up formatted inputs in UAD fields, which are presently anchored in the collapsing menus on the side. The other useful things would be something along the lines of a modeless dialog for navigation, modeless dialog for to-do list, and something that logs changes to individual fields and compares against the file logs and changes the background color of the control so that you get quick visual cues about whether you have *updated* the value of the field.

LUA is not an object-oriented language so it may not be worth the time and effort to implement some scripts even though they may match your workflow.

I don't know any scripting language, but I have been very interested in what can be done with scripting in SFREP. I'm still with Total right now, but I really liked Appraise-It Pro when I did a trail run. I could easily switch to SFREP if I found some real advantage over Total for the extra cost. I think the Scripting feature might be that advantage, but I just don't know what can be done with it. Can you create scripts to download from MLS into comp grids or flood maps or anything like that? Please keep us informed about what you are able to do with scripting. I'd really like to know more about what this feature offers.
