You need to fact check your stuff Fernando, I don't think Fresno is going to top anybody's most expensive housing list soon. Good job otherwise.

Damn, looks like a list of mostly ****hole cities. Can’t find a city on that list I want to live in.

I know a guy whose daughter lives in SF. He can’t stand going to visit her. Said there’s homeless drug addicts a block down the street from where they are raising their young girls. They are both tech execs living in a very expensive part of the city. Imagine what the really bad areas must be like.

And Vallejo is more costly to live than Sacramento. And Sacramento slightly more expensive to live than Stockton.
I didn't make the list.

U.S. News & World categorizes the rankings of each city on the following indexes:

  • Quality of Life Index - 36%
  • Value Index - 23%
  • Desirability Index - 22%
  • Job Market Index - 19%

An important factor is jobs with good income to meet the cost of living in the area.
It makes sense that San Francisco and Silicon Valley have high paying jobs thus more can afford the housing here.
If no jobs, everything cost too much.

San Diego and Santa Barbara ****holes? No way.

living in a small hidden safe enclave of the highest use drug zip code in the country. originally a industrial section of the city long ago, transforming to all residential. originally all polish & lithuanias because that was the cheap imported labor at the time of the industrial revolution. we have more catholic churches per population than anywhere in the usa. i know about outdoor neighbors and zombies, but only have to drive thru that part to get home. lotta red flags in my post.

What city are you talking about?

i'm at the opposite coast, philly. or sometimes called killadelphia.

the head of a homeless services organization in Los Angeles published an opinion column in the L.A. Times this weekend complaining about not being able to afford living in the city anymore.

Author Nathan Sheets declared in the piece that he and his family received an eviction notice and are having to move back to Indiana. His column criticized the California government for doing little to curb homelessness, slamming it for not even giving options to social workers like himself to live there and help the homeless population.

San Francisco is slammed as 'ruined city' and 'hell' in Chinese media
