Over the last 2 years, there've been new and interesting legal situations affecting appraisers. I'll talk about 6 or more specific cases and their takeaways in a 3-hour appraiser CE class via Zoom on October 18 (12-3 CT) with Appraiser eLearning. Bonus - Every appraiser who completes the class and wants a copy will receive a free copy of my book published by the Appraisal Institute: Risk Management for Real Estate Appraisers.

The cases I'll talk about cover issues ranging from square footage/measuring to alleged discrimination to limitations of liability. The takeaways apply to both residential and commercial appraisers.

So far the class is approved for appraiser CE in CA, CO, GA, ID, IL, MO, MS, MT, NV, NC, OH, OR, SC, TX, VA, & WA. Appraiser eLearning also has pending CE applications for the class in: AL, AR, AZ, FL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OK, PA, TN, UT, & WI. A second class will occur in November.

More info and registration here at Appraiser eLearning: Class Link

Class price is $69.95 which includes the book. Appraisers insured by LIA receive a discount on their E&O premium for taking the class of $70 if your E&O limit is $500k or more per claim - $40 if your claim limit is lower (except in California where the maximum discount is $50 if your limit is $500k or more per claim - $25 if your claim limit is lower).

Thank you,
Peter Christensen
