Any other of my fellow Hoosiers experiencing such slow times as this? I typically get maybe 2 slow weeks a year, but this is now going on for at least 1 month. Still keeping fairly steady, but the work load has dropped considerably.

Yep....slow for about a month or so. It started to trickle off in the beginning of last month and now I'm working each job as they come in. Basically, no back log at all other than a couple of difficulties with getting in touch with a contact.

It seems a bit odd from my past experiences for both the time of year and the length of time it seems to be lasting. For mtg lending, it'll be another two to three weeks after apps start to pick up before we would see any movement in the pipeline.

I guess it will pick up. It was a little busier around my office today. I turned down several assignments in the $230 range....

I am turning down enough to keep an appraiser busy, most are reasonable fee, some not in the ballpark. I have about 3 weeks of non-lender work to complete before I start closely looking at the requests. I noticed a couple of large regional lenders are asking to exteriors. The one I turned down today was a waterfront or near waterfront with boat lot exterior 2055.

I have turned down several orders yesterday due to poor fees. Some fees offered were as low as $230 and the home was over 7000 sqft. Hopefully things are starting to turn around.
