I just got reviewed by William J Ebel here in Cincinnati ohio. I appraised a home for $129,000 and his review came back and stated the report was "fair" and his value was $125,000. Really?

Are you a disinterested third party when you are obviously trying to get rid of local guys to increase your business?

This guy is a joke....

Did the "fair" opinion address inadequacies or errors in the data or methods utilized in the appraisal report? Review Opinions reflect both qualititative and quantitative analyses of data and methodology - not just "the number". Should the rating reflect only the Review Appraiser's minor disagreement with the "number" you may very well have grounds to file a Complaint with your State Board after addressing the above in your rebuttal to the review.

i.e. "it ain't just the $$"

Isn't fair a subjective word, that can be defined in differing ways. I try to give some good detail when it comes to reviews. I don't really care about the dollar, just the review and how the original appraiser came to their conclusions. IF it's well explained and informative, then I state that.

Maybe, you get to do a review on his work, and give him an average rating....LOL

Sometimes I wonder where they get their license from, a cereal box top?

I have reviewed reports that were filled with errors and inconsistencies yet I agreed with the appraised value. I would still give those reports a "fair" rating.

Since you've called him out publically, perhaps we can get a chance to read your appraisal and his review and debate who's fair and who's a joke.
