I can tell you about TN if you want specifics on individual counties. It will cost you though for your information.

I always thought the South had the highest poverty rates.
And can't figure out why the Republicans don't help them.

I thought CA be higher since state provides safety nets for the poor with free student meals, tax savings for utilities and public transportation, etc.
 
Now you know why there is a bill before TN state congress to reduce sales tax on some people. Poverty is bad in Memphis. I won't lie to you.

If they can cut those people before State congress 4% on sales taxes?

Think about it. 4% to you is not the same as 4% to poverty level.

CA doesn't have a sales tax on food. Cold food that is. That's why to save tax, I don't ask for my Subway sandwich to be heated.
I have too much food at home.....and clothes... and.....
