I got a letter in the mail today from a company named Tena Companies and they are conducting a routine audit and they want to verify the appraised value of a property and ask if I was value pressured.

The client was Lending Tree.

Anyone else get one of these letters?

Yes, get them all the time. No big deal...they are legit! :)

Yup....
Sorry, due to the confidentiality portion of USPAP, I can neither confirm or deny if the appraiser has appraised the property in question.

I get them all the time. No big deal. Answer the questions and end it back.
The ones I get don't even need a stamp to mail them back

I received an email yesterday from a client, stating that I was to disclose nothing about a property I recently inspected if anyone outside the bank called to ask. Different scenario, same rule applies. NADA.

Get them periodically...but I think client is different. Verify, sign, return. Have never been a problem.

But they are not the client. I already threw it in the recycle bin.

If you put a level on the appraisal profession we would be a bubble off!:peace:

And in accordance with USPAP, Dodd-Frank and GLB, I can neither confirm or deny I've done appraisal services on the subject property without proper, documentation and authorization. Yeah, I might get them or I've never gotten them.
